Lopes senior outfielder went 7 for 9 against Aggies
Grand Canyon senior left fielder Gianna Nicoletti earned her first WAC Hitter of the Week award of the season for her performance at New Mexico State over the weekend.
Nicoletti, from Fullerton, California, had an impressive weekend as she went 7 for 9 with two RBIs and six runs in the three-game series with the Aggies.
The leadoff hitter collected two hits in the first and third games of the series and three hits in the second game against the Aggies. Nicoletti was a perfect 3 for 3 on stolen bases in the series.
The Lopes (19-8, 2-1 WAC) take on Oregon State on Monday at 2 p.m. at GCU Softball Stadium before they hit the road for the second time this season and take on Dixie State on March 25-26.
