TUCSON, Ariz. – The No. 10 Grand Canyon beach volleyball team fell to No. 8 Pepperdine 3-2 on Saturday for its last dual of the Arizona Invitational at Bear Down Beach.
The Lopes went 3-1 on the weekend and moved to 12-5 this season.
GCU got on the board first with seniors

Natalie Honzovicova winning 21-13, 21-12 on Court 5.
Pepperdine evened the scoring on Court 3 as sophomore

Taylor Jarzombek fell 16-21, 10-21.

Paula Hoffmann gave the Lopes a 2-1 lead and moved to 13-0 on the season after winning 21-13, 21-14.

Anaya Evans dropped both sets 18-21 on Court 1, bringing the dual to a tie at 2-2.
The Waves secured the victory on Court 2 with freshman
Allison Hansen and sophomore
Teagan DeFalco falling 18-21, 15-21.
Up next, the Lopes head to Northridge, California, to play against Boise State, CSU Northridge and No. 15 Long Beach State.
