Naudia Evans was named WAC Freshman of the Week for the first time in her career and it is the first WAC weekly honor for the Lopes this season.

Coming off a tough three weeks on the road, Evans and the Lopes returned to GCU Arena and defeated UC Irvine to close out nonconference play with a 6-0 home record.
The Waynesville, Missouri, native posted seven points, four rebounds and two assists in the win, helping the Lopes to a 7-4 record heading into WAC play.
Evans is averaging 4.7 points, 1.8 rebounds and 1.2 assists in 15.1 minutes per game this season.
The Lopes begin WAC play at Chicago State on Thursday at 5 p.m. (Phoenix time).
