Athletic competition suspended due to COVID-19 concerns

Grand Canyon University announced the suspension of sports competition due to concerns with the COVID-19 virus, effective immediately, until further notice. The decision was made in the interest of the health and safety of our student-athletes, campus staff, GCU community and fans.

All home athletic events have been suspended indefinitely, and teams participating in road competition are making arrangements to return to Phoenix as soon as possible.

GCU announced earlier today that all ground classes will be transitioned to an online environment beginning March 23, following spring break.
