Opponent's COVID-19 issues call off GCU game

The Grand Canyon men's basketball game slated for Tuesday night at GCU Arena has been canceled due to COVID-19 issues with the scheduled crosstown opponent, SAGU American Indian.

The game will not immediately be replaced with another opponent. GCU is looking at options for adding a replacement game later in the season. Previous Nov. 28 and Dec. 5 games also were canceled because of opponent COVID-19 issues.

The Lopes' next scheduled games will be at the Far West Classic in Las Vegas, where GCU (4-1) will play San Francisco (5-3) on Sunday and Colorado (3-1) on Tuesday.
