Already recognized as one of the top ballparks nationally by
Baseball Digest, GCU continues to enhance its baseball gameday experience with the introduction of more affordable food options that are as tasty as they are unique. After debuting a number of instant classics last year, the menu expands for the 2019 season to make GCU Ballpark home to the best college ballpark food for the value.
Baseball and hot dogs are synonymous. GCU is set to launch a menu of signature hot dogs that will rotate on a month-to-month basis. The three featured hot dogs (shown below) will be available in February, March and April, respectively, with a fan vote deciding which option should return for the final month of the season in May. The hot dogs will cost just $5 each.
Â
 |
February: Bases Loaded Dog
Hot dog on a traditional bun smothered with mac and cheese, bacon and jalapeños |
 |
March: Deli Dog
Bratwurst on a pretzel bun covered with chopped pastrami, sauerkraut and mustard |
 |
April: Fowl Ball Dog
Hot dog on a traditional bun smothered with barbeque chicken, coleslaw and pickles |
The menu of signature hot dogs is a new addition to returning fan favorites from the inaugural season of GCU Ballpark in 2018.
The ballpark's most iconic food item, Thunder Nachos, returns for this season. A loaded tray of made-to-order nachos featuring purple tortilla chips with housemade chicken and a list of customizable savory toppings including nacho cheese, pico de gallo, verde salsa, shredded cheese, guacamole and sour cream complete a filling entrée with a $7 price tag.
Â
Cap off every trip to the concession stand with a Purple Churro, the classic dessert item with a GCU twist, for only $2. Additionally, a special Sunday meal deal featuring a barbeque chicken sandwich, bag of chips and drink returns for only $5.
GCU's signature items share a menu with traditional ballpark fare, including hot dogs, pretzels, lemonade, soda, candy and more. GCU students attending games at GCU Ballpark can utilize their meal plan swipe card.
Affordable food options round out the best value in family-friendly entertainment when they are combined with free admission, free parking and free in-stadium kids games and activities.
