The Western Athletic Conference today announced its 2014 All-WAC baseball team and the Grand Canyon University squad was well-represented on the list, with four First Team and one Second Team selection. The Antelopes made their return to the WAC this season and posted an impressive 19-8 league record to finish second among the 10 teams.

Coley Bruns was named to the Second Team.
De La Guerra ranks among the WAC's best in a number of offensive categories, including owning the best in-conference batting average at .390 (41-for-105). In 52 games this season, he is batting at a .373 clip (76-for-204) with a team-best 12 doubles, four triples, five home runs, 46 RBI, 111 total bases, and .544 slugging percentage. The junior is also a perfect 16-for-16 in stolen base attempts.
De La Guerra posted the longest hitting streak for the Lopes this season at 17 games from April 11-May 10 (.507, 34-for-67). He has currently reached base safely in 29 consecutive games and has a team-high 24 multi-hit affairs on the season.
In his final season with GCU, Pomeroy is batting .311 (66-for-212) with 21 runs scored, nine doubles, a triple, home run, and 31 RBI. He recently strung together a 13-game hit streak from April 18-May 11, during which time he hit .417 (25-for-60). Since March 18, he has 13 multi-hit games and his total of 19 such games on the season in third-best on the team. Pomeroy collected his 200
th career hit in the eighth inning on May 5 at Washington.
The 2013 NCAA Division II ABCA/Rawlings Gold Glove award winner has not committed an error in the field since April of the 2012 season.
Walker leads GCU with a .464 on-base percentage, which is also the second-best mark in the conference. The junior owns a .359 batting average (70-for-195) with 48 runs scored, nine doubles, three triples, and a team-best 22 stolen bases in 52 games this season. He also leads the team and the conference with 15 sacrifice bunts, while his 48 runs also lead the team and rank second among all WAC players.
Walker's 10-game hit streak from April 16-May 3 (.350, 14-for-40) is the third-longest on the team this season.
Naderer has collected a team-best nine wins this season, second-most among WAC pitchers. The sophomore owns a 3.33 ERA (36 ER in 97.1 IP) in 13 starts, including one complete game. His innings total is tops on the team and tied for second-most in the conference. He has limited the opposition to a .232 batting average, fifth-best in the WAC. His 61 strikeouts are tied for seventh-most in the league.
Naderer has tossed at least 7.0 innings in 12 consecutive starts and has allowed two runs or less in his last four as he has picked up wins in his last five outings.
Bruns is 6-0 with a 2.28 ERA (22 ER in 87.0 IP) in 14 appearances (12 starts) this season for GCU. His ERA ranks third in the conference, while his .230 opponents' batting average is second-best. The junior leads the team and ranks tied for fourth in the WAC with 68 strikeouts. His six wins are tied for sixth among all WAC pitchers.
Bruns has tossed a team-best four complete games, including a four-hit shutout on May 10 at North Dakota. He has gone 7.0 or more innings in six starts and collected a season-best 10 strikeouts in his 2014 debut on Feb. 16 at Monroe.
For the postseason awards, Rhys Hoskins of Sacramento State was named Player of the Year, Sam Street of Texas-Pan American was named Pitcher of the Year, and Sam Long of Sacramento State was named Freshman of the Year. Hornets coach Reggie Christiansen picked up Coach of the Year honors.
