Grand Canyon University senior outside hitter
Shannon Dugan was named the Western Athletic Conference Volleyball Player of the Week.
Dugan, in wins over Texas-Pan American and New Mexico State averaged a WAC-best 4.78 kills per set to go along with 3.11 digs. She had double-doubles in each match and leads the WAC with 12 double-doubles on the season.
It was the program's first-ever win over defending WAC champion New Mexico State. It is the second time this season a GCU player has won the award. Freshman outside hitter
