Took third at last weekend's GCU Invitational
Grand Canyon University's Patrick Hardwick was named Western Athletic Conference Cross Country Athlete of the Week, as announced by the conference office today, for Sept. 30-Oct. 6. It is the first weekly award for the GCU cross country program in their first year with the conference.
Hardwick was the top finisher for the Antelopes at the GCU Invitational at Estrella Mountain Regional Park, taking third overall among a field of 57 competitors with a time of 26:54.8 in the 8k race. His time was an improvement of nearly 30 seconds from the same meet last year.
