Judy Jones has been named Pacific West Conference Women’s Basketball Player of the Week for games contested Nov. 19-25.
Jones helped guide the Antelopes to a 2-0 record last week, including wins over Western New Mexico and Fort Lewis in the GCU Thanksgiving Classic. She averaged 19.5 points and 12.0 rebounds per game, ranking first among PacWest players in rebounds and second in points.
She scored a season-high 25 points on Saturday, Nov. 24 against Fort Lewis and also recorded back-to-back double-doubles last week.
Jones made 18-of-29 field goal attempts (62.1 percent), which was the seventh-best field goal percentage in the conference last week.
The ‘Lopes will next be in action when they open PacWest Conference play against Hawai’i Hilo on Dec. 3 at GCU Arena. Tipoff is slated for 4:30 p.m. Fans can follow the action by visiting
