The No. 19-ranked Grand Canyon University softball team scored a combined 30 runs in its doubleheader sweep over Pacific West Conference foe Notre Dame de Namur today at Stapleton-Pierson Field. The Antelopes won the first game 21-2 in five innings and the second 9-6 in seven frames.

In the second game, GCU scored twice in the bottom of the first inning and broke the game open with five runs in the third. Gamez continued to swing a hot bat, going 2-for-3 with two doubles, a sacrifice fly, two RBIs and one run scored. Barry went 2-for-4 with a double and one run scored. Sophomore pitcher
Ivy Campas (Tucson, AZ/Sunnyside), like Searcy in the first game, helped herself by homering to left field to open the bottom of the fifth.
Campas, who has been named PacWest Pitcher of the Week twice this year, pitched seven innings and gave up nine hits and three runs (two of them earned), walked three and recorded four strikeouts. She is 21-5 on the season.
The 'Lopes and Argonauts play another doubleheader tomorrow, starting at noon. It will be Senior Day, and GCU's six seniors will be honored before the first game for their contributions to the program and the university.
