GCU wins first 2, drops next 3 at Mid-Winter Day 2

LITTLE ROCK, Ark. -- Grand Canyon women's bowling team won its first two team match play meetings Saturday Amanda Ailportbefore succumbing in the last three to even its record at 5-5 at the Arkansas State University Mid-Winter Invitational.
The Antelopes beat Winston-Salem, 790-618 in the Round 6 match play competition. They followed that up with a 774-738 victory over Grambling in Round 7. But the Antelopes lost the next three to Central Missouri, Arkansas State and Nebraska.
Arkansas State won all five of its team match play competitions on Saturday.
GCU's Amanda Ailport (pictured) had a high game of 192 in the win over Winston-Salem. Tera Bolton rolled a 181 against Central Missouri, and put together a 166.2 average in the five games.
