Grand Canyon will head into Saturday's series finale with No. 6 UC San Diego with hopes of salvaging one game of the four-game home set at Brazell Stadium.

On Friday, the Lopes dropped two games to the Tritons, 20-5 and 9-4.

GCU (13-25) trailed 20-1 in the opener before scoring four in the seventh. Taylor McGregor hit his first home run of the season, a three-run shot. Earlier in the inning, John Stanko hit his third homer of the year.
