The GCU Beach Volleyball Stadium opened to 1,308 fans on March 3, 2017, as the Lopes hosted a tournament with TCU, Hawaii, New Mexico and others. The then-No. 12 ranked Lopes went 4-1 in their first five matches at the new facility.
In sum, the facility features seven competition-ready courts.
The main stadium features three courts. Bleachers run the length of the north side of the facility, offering ample seating for large volleyball tournaments. Additionally, grass berms on the east and west sides of the stadium offer more seating for fans. On the south side of the main courts, a large sidewalk area allows for team tents and seating as well as gameday personnel.
A permanent sound system at the stadium allows for music and a public address announcer to create a true beach volleyball experience.
Two courts on either side of the main stadium courts bring the facility's total court count to seven. The four side courts can be used as practice and warm-up courts, but can also accommodate competitive matches in larger tournaments.
To the south of the main stadium, an artificial turf surface is available for pregame tailgating and other auxiliary events to complete the fan-friendly atmosphere of the facility.
The stadium is located right in the heart of GCU campus between Cypress and Canyon Halls and looks out over Little Canyon Park.
