- Boasts one of GCU's best player development stories, going from a lightly-used freshman with six at bats to an All-WAC performer and top-100 MLB Draft prospect.
- Named a first-team All-WAC selection as an outfielder.
- Was named an Academic All-American for the combo of a 3.92 GPA and significant on-field success.
- Earned second-team All-West Region honors.
- Alongside teammate Jacob Wilson, landed on the Golden Spikes Award Midseason Watch List for the top player in college baseball.
- One of three Lopes to be invited to the MLB Draft Combine and posted the fastest 30-yard dash time at 3.523.
- Set GCU's D-I single-season record for stolen bases with 25 in 31 attempts.
- Led the Lopes in runs scored (69), hits (88), doubles (19), hit by pitch (13), on-base percentage (.478) and stolen bases (25). All marks, other than hit by pitch, ranked in the nation's top 100.
- Was the only GCU player to start all 58 games. Hit in the leadoff spot in 53 games and started in center field in all 58.
- Earned first career WAC Hitter of the Week honor on April 3 after reaching safely in 15 of 21 plate appearances in games against Arizona and Utah Valley.
- Had his second career five-hit game at Sacramento State on March 18.
- Had 29 multi-hit games to lead the team.
- Notched a go-ahead RBI single in the 12th inning to help lead the Lopes to a momentum-shifting series victory at Abilene Christian on April 16. The Lopes swept their four remaining WAC series to clinch the regular-season title.
- Tied for second-most games played (59) by a Lope, behind only Elijah Buries (62).
- Swiped seven bases, second-most on the team.
- Ranked fourth on the Lopes in walks (20) and runs scored (45).
- Spent more time as GCU's leadoff batter than anyone else, making 26 starts in the spot.
- Started 52 of GCU's 61 games in center field.
- Had a career-best five-hit game in GCU's blowout 19-3 win at California Baptist on March 6.
- Hit first career home run at Utah Valley on April 30.
- Hit a three-run home run to tie the score 10-10 in the eighth inning of a wild comeback win to take a home series from Sacramento State on May 8.
- Picked up first base hit of career in return to state of Texas, at Tarleton on May 14.

- Parents are Homer and Monica Bush.
- Father, Homer, played seven MLB seasons (1997-04) for the Yankees, Blue Jays and Marlins. Played 409 games and hit .285 with 363 hits and 115 RBIs. Bush Jr. was 2 1/2 years old when Bush Sr. played his 409th and final MLB game in a return to the Yankees, giving the son better photos with greats Derek Jeter and Alex Rodriguez.
- Only held D-I offer from New Mexico before former GCU head coach Andy Stankiewicz paid a visit to a game as a favor to former teammate Homer Bush Sr. Homer Bush Jr. performed well with Stankiewicz in attendance and earned the offer.
- Chose GCU for "the beautiful state and campus, great coaching, Christian values, and a chance to compete for a College World Series."
- Was a freshman-year roommate of Jacob Wilson, with the room in GCU's Willow Hall hosting two would-be top-100 MLB Draft prospects.
- If he wasn't playing baseball, it'd be football.
- Aims to use platform to encourage more Black baseball players. "One of the things that I'm lucky enough that baseball's provided me with is a platform ... if I could find myself in a role like that for a community, I think that would be awesome."
- Gave soccer a try until he was 9, basketball until he was 14 and football until after being the star running back on his freshman team. Told his parents that he wanted to focus on baseball after freshman year of high school.
- Favorite music artists are Drake and J. Cole.
- Favorite pro team is the New York Yankees.
- Favorite athletes to watch growing up include Mike Trout, LeBron James and Kobe Bryant.
