The Grand Canyon women's tennis team will begin its fall campaign this weekend with a trip to the Beach Tennis Tournament hosted by Long Beach State.

Six teams, including GCU, will attend the three-day event taking place at the Rhodes Tennis Center. The fall tournament will feature three draws of singles and doubles with winners and consolation brackets.

Six Lopes will be in action over the weekend, including reigning WAC Player of the Year
Natasha Puehse and All-WAC first-team singles and doubles honoree
Santa Strombacha. Puehse will compete in the top singles flight with a first-round matchup against UC Irvine's Alyssisa Fossorier. Strombacha will compete in the second flight against CSU Northridge's Jackie O'Neill. The No. 1 GCU doubles pair will also compete in the top doubles flight.

A pair of GCU newcomers,
Dania Deaifi and
Anali Kocevar, will start in the top singles flight while Utah graduate transfer
Madeline Lamoreaux will compete in the second flight. Junior
Aline Buhr will face CSU Northridge's Sofia Dermenjyan in the third flight and will team up with Lamoreaux in doubles.
