STOCKTON, Calif. – The Grand Canyon men's golf team closed the fall season with a 12th-place finish at the Visit Stockton Pacific Invitational on Saturday.
The Lopes fired a final-round 284, its best round of the three-day event at Stockton (Calif.) Country Club. Senior
Filip Lundell posted the top final round for GCU, finishing with a 69 at the par-71 course.
Juniors
Michael Salazar,
Trevor Lampson and
Jake Chanen each finished the tournament with 216 totals to tie for 42nd. Lundell was two strokes back at 218 while freshman
Matthew Braley came in with a 219.
The event was won by No. 40 Nevada with an 814 (38 under par). No. 16 BYU was the runner-up with an 826 total.
GCU's fall season ended Saturday after three earlier top-5 team finishes. The Lopes return to competition in February at the John A. Burns Intercollegiate in Hawaii.
