Jackson is just the second GCU player to earn First Team All-WAC honors in its four years as a member of the conference. It was a historic season for Jackson as he finished the regular season with the third most goals in the country, scoring 16. Along with two assists, Jackson's 34 points this season is tied for the 4th in the nation.
A good as Jackson was during GCU's non-conference schedule, the junior picked things up in WAC play, scoring a league-leading nine goals along with an assist for 19 points, the most during conference play this season. The native of Scottsdale, Ariz. recorded two hat tricks this season, just one of two players in the country to do so this season.
Joining Jackson as an all-conference selection is Montalvo, having started and played in 18 matches. As one of the center-backs on GCU's back-line, Montalvo helped the defense record four shutouts this season. The freshman did not disappoint in his first season at GCU as he was named to the TopDrawerSoccer's Freshman First-Team, named as one of the two best freshman center-backs in the country.
The native of El Paso, Texas recorded his first career assist on the road against Houston Baptist in a 3-2 win. Currently, Montalvo is in Florida, at the U.S. U-19 Men's National Team Training Camp. This is the first time in four year that GCU has had two players earn All-WAC honors and both will return to the squad next season.
