The Grand Canyon University men’s and women’s track and field teams are ranked fourth in the latest United States Track and Field and Cross Country Coaches Association (USTFCCCA) poll. The men were ranked third last week, while the women moved up from their fifth spot.

For the men, Saint Augustine, Ashland and Adams State own the top-three spots, while Grand Valley State rounds out the top-five. On the women’s side, Grand Valley State, Lincoln (Mo.) and Pacific West Conference member Academy of Art hold the 1-3 spots and Ashland is ranked fifth.

Both GCU teams maintained their top ranking in the West Region.

The Antelopes are coming off of one of their strongest showings so far in the indoor season as they collected three NCAA Division II Indoor National Championship automatic qualifying marks at the Samford Multi & Invitational in Birmingham, Ala. Shavine Hodges (60-meter dash), Moya McKenzie (400-meter dash) and Stephan Bullard (800-meter run) punched their ticket back to Birmingham.

GCU will be in action on Thursday in their final regular season indoor meet before the national championships when they travel to Flagstaff for the Northern Arizona University Tune-Up at the Walkup Skydome.
