Keith Smith, The Whittier (Calif.) Daily News Boys Volleyball Player of the Year, has signed to play at Grand Canyon University.
A 6-4 setter, Smith starred at California High School, where, along with being the area player of the year, was named team and league MVP and to the CIF-Southern Section Division 3 first team. He was a three-year Daily News first-team pick
During his senior season, he averaged 16 kills, eight assists and 10 digs per match.
Smith chose GCU over Pacific, Clarke (Iowa) College, Limestone (S.C.) and Long Beach City College.
